Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
The short version. You must be 18 or older and upload only photos of yourself. We map your facial landmarks to measure your proportions, which is biometric data. Your photos and reports are saved to your account. We also keep a record of every analysis, including your photos, measurements, results and answers, and use it to improve and train our AI models. That record is kept when you delete a report or your account. By creating an account or signing in, you agree to all of this.
Terms of Service
1. Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and LooksMaxMe (“we”, “us”). You accept them, together with the Privacy Policy below, when you create an account, sign in, or continue with Google. If you do not agree, do not use LooksMaxMe.
2. Who can use LooksMaxMe
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You may upload only photos of yourself. Do not upload photos of anyone else, including children.
- You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure.
3. What LooksMaxMe is, and is not
LooksMaxMe measures facial proportions in the photos you upload and gives cosmetic and grooming insight: ratings, measurements, skin observations and coaching. Ratings are statistical estimates based on one photo and published population averages, and lighting, pose, expression and camera distance all change them. LooksMaxMe is not a medical service. Nothing in it is a diagnosis or medical advice. Speak to a qualified professional before making health, surgical or treatment decisions.
4. Plans and payments
Some features need a paid plan. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Polar, and are subject to its terms. Subscriptions renew until cancelled, which you can do from your account page. Analysis credits and AI coach allowances are described on the pricing page and in your account.
5. Your photos and the licence you give us
You keep ownership of your photos. By uploading them, you give LooksMaxMe a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, perpetual and irrevocable licence to store, copy, process, analyse and create derived data (such as landmarks and measurements) from your photos and the data generated from them. We use this licence to provide the service, to keep records for legal compliance, and to research, develop, improve and train our models and features, as described in the Privacy Policy. This licence continues after you delete a report or your account. We do not sell your photos, and we do not publish them.
6. Acceptable use
Do not misuse LooksMaxMe. This includes uploading someone else’s photo, trying to access other members’ data, interfering with or reverse-engineering the service, or using it to harass anyone.
7. Disclaimers and liability
LooksMaxMe is provided “as is”, without warranties of accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on your results. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.
8. Ending your account
You can ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing looksmaxme.support@gmail.com. We may suspend accounts that break these terms. Sections 5 and 7 continue to apply after your account ends.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. When the change matters, we will ask you to accept the new version before you continue using your workspace.
Privacy Policy
What we collect
- Account details: your email address, name, how you signed in, your confirmation that you are 18 or older, and when you accepted these terms.
- Photos: the front and side photos you upload, after your device resizes them and removes location and other photo metadata.
- Face data (biometric data): the 478 facial landmarks we map on each photo, head pose and expression signals, and the measurements, ratings and annotated photos made from them.
- Your answers: the profile you choose to be rated against (male or female features), the ethnicity standard you pick, and any skin questions you answer.
- Coaching: the coaching written for your reports and your conversations with the AI coach.
- Billing: your plan and subscription status. Card details are handled by Polar; we never see them.
- Technical data: basic usage and performance information collected by our hosting provider’s analytics.
How we use it
- To create your analyses, reports and coaching.
- To keep your reports and photos in your history.
- To research, develop, improve and train our AI and computer-vision models, and to calibrate our rating against real members’ measurements.
- To keep records for legal compliance and to resolve disputes.
- To run billing, secure the service and prevent misuse.
Your consent to biometric processing
By creating an account or signing in, you give your express consent for LooksMaxMe to collect, store and use your photos and face data for the purposes above, including training our models. Analyses do not ask again each time; this consent covers every analysis you create. If you do not want this, do not upload photos, and contact us about your account.
How long we keep it
- Your history: your reports and saved photos stay in your account until you delete them or your account.
- Analysis record: for every analysis we keep a separate record with your original and annotated photos, landmarks, measurements, results, answers and the terms version you accepted. It is kept after you delete the report or your account, for model training and legal compliance, and is linked to your account identifier and email address.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We use service providers that process it on our behalf: Supabase (database, sign-in and photo storage), Render (our analysis servers), Vercel (website hosting and analytics), Polar (payments), and AI providers that write coaching (DeepSeek) and power search over our guidance library (Google). The AI providers receive your measurements and answers as text, not your photos. We may also disclose data when the law requires it.
Security
Photos and records are stored in private storage that only our servers can read, and are sent over encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data.
Your choices and rights
You can delete any report from My analyses, and ask us to delete your account by email. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to the use of your personal data, including your biometric data. To make a request, email looksmaxme.support@gmail.com. We will answer as the law requires.
Children
LooksMaxMe is for adults only. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; if you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
